In unfamiliar places I am seeing myself
In cut up pieces of timber , being discarded,
I see myself
On the concrete, under the rubble being demoloshed, hidden away by the tarp,
I see myself
As if life was a disco ball
And as if it can only fall apart in endless reflections and endless mirrors
Even in mirages of bad omens and these God forsaken shit predictions,
I see myself
I fell on to my knees at work today
I made sure no one saw me
Motivated by hunger, and persuaded by thirst
I was upstairs
And I didn't tell anyone
I tried sitting down
But with trembling hands I dropped the hat I was holding and eased my shoulders up with my palms on the ground
And with my eyes closed,
I saw visions of endless Palms on the grounds of the holy land
Bearing fruit
Swaying in the scorching winds
Bothered and tampered with hands that never respected their wishes
Getting bombed and violated and wiped out
Tortured beyond my comprehension.
And As if mirages tell no lies
As if there never was a disco
No truth
No lies
No time ponder
So i wondered
When I opened my eyes
Ears still ringing
I was in the position of prayer
In the stance of chants
And by co incidence and chance
In a whimsical glimpse I caught a glance
Everything was whole again
Like before
Nothing had ever changed
And nothing ever will
Except me, and my sacrifices
So I found myself again, in unfamiliar places
I am seeing myself,
In cut up pieces of timber,
I see myself,
On the concrete, under the rubble being demoloshed, hidden away by the tarp,
I see myself
As if life was a disco ball
And as if it can only fall apart in endless reflections and endless mirrors
Even in mirages of bad omens and these God forsaken shit predictions,
I STILL see myself
Baby Sparky
