I'm not sleeping much

Maybe I've forgotten how to sleep

Or to rest 

We were too busy building sand castles at the waves we forgot to tend to our gardens

I was too busy tending to my garden, and accidentally, our gardens grew into each others'

I'm not sleeping much

Maybe it's hard to fall asleep

Or to rest

In this forest of ours, where animals play and trees have lived, since before time, 

And after,

Suddenly,

And abruptly,

And unknowingly,

I finally,

Finally, finally, finally,

I finally,

Fell asleep.
